Nuclear Matters Statement on U.S. Rejoining the Paris Agreement

Yesterday evening, President Joseph Biden signed an Executive Order recommitting the United States to the Paris Climate Agreement. Nuclear Matters is energized to see the new administration set us on a path towards a clean, reliable, affordable energy system which properly values the preservation and further innovation of our nation’s largest source of carbon-free energy – nuclear power. Our advocates stand ready to ensure nuclear carbon-free energy will continue to play a pivotal role in legislative proposals and federal policies needed to meet our national commitments as defined by the Agreement. On behalf of our 600,000 grassroots advocates across the country, we look forward to working with the Biden administration and Congress to realize the promise of this critically important global climate solution.
